Key Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Hands on Manager of Finance working closely with their Direct Reports, AR and AP Associates;

General Accounting:

• Maintain Balance Sheet accounts;;
• Complete full cycle month end process, ensuring that the AR and AP Associates complete the month end tasks in a timely manner;
• Daily Cashflow reporting;
• Preparation of the month end variance reports to allow department heads to assist in variance analysis commentary;

AR and AP Associates:

• Ensure teams members are completing their tasks in a timely manner using checklists and job descriptions to manage deliverables;
• Support Team members by handling issue escalations and updating the Director of Finance of Material issues identified both resolved and un resolved.;
• Ensure all invoicing for our 3PL services are appropriately billed and charged to customers;
• Develop and train team members as required;
• Ensure only approved and accurate transactions are entered into the accounting software;
• Manage the Vendor Cheque run process and approve vendors for payment;

Government Filings:

• Ensure government filings are made in a timely manner, GST and Corp Tax installments;

Reporting:

• Maintain Monthly Sales By Customer;
• Prepare Internal BS, IS, Cashflow;

Other:

• Provide adhoc reporting as required;
• Follow published company and finance SOPs;

Qualifications:

• CPA Designation or in the final stages of completing the CPA Designation.
• 4-5 years of hands on work Experience in senior accounting role and managing staff.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
