RPM Marinas Inc are located in Haliburton County & Kawartha Lakes which provides customers with access to the Marina and Powersports experience for their Haliburton based recreational facilities. s. Operating out of 4 locations in the Region, we:
- Sell New/Used Major Units,
- Provide service to our customers and their Boats, PWC’s, ATv’s/SxS’s and Sleds,
- Source Parts & Accessories,
- Rent Units to Customers, and
- Store customer Marine and Powersports units during the off season.
- Employing upwards to 35 personnel at the peak season, RPM Marinas has a strong branded position where we offer a Ride for All Seasons to our Customers
RPM Marinas is looking to hire an Accounting Manager who will work with the General Manager and Owner and will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the Business Model. This includes managing:
- Accounts Receivables for about 2000 customers,
- Accounts Payable for some 75 Suppliers required to operate the business,
- Administration of Payroll,
- Budgeting for Operational and Real Estate activities surrounding the 4 Marinas,
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual internal and External Financial Statements,
- Negotiate and follow up on insurance policies,
- · Legal compliance and Financial Control, and
- · Record Keeping.
Currently, we have a financial clerk and 4 personnel at each location managing the POS operations to collect funds from Customers using an Industry Standard Lightspeed technology base with modules for;
- Work Orders,
- Retail / Special Order Inventory Stock Management,
- New/Used Sales Orders and Major Unit inventory management,
- Rental Contracts for Marine and Powersports assets, and finally,
- Customer contracts for Storage of Marine/Powersports assets in the off-season.
In addition to internal responsibilities, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with Banking, Floor Plan, Supplier and External Accounting entities.
Managing in this environment provides a person an interesting and challenging business opportunity and will allow an individual with an accounting background to experience all elements of managing a small/medium sized business and all of its accounting activities.
