Responsabilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, encompassing tasks such as journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, government remittances, etc.
- Prepare monthly client reports, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, trial balance, etc.
- Post and manage journal entries.
- Process invoices for accounts payable.
- Handle cash disbursements through cheques and EFTs.
- Address inquiries from the Head Office, other departments, clients, and vendors.
- Manage accounts receivable, including client billing.
- Apply cash to customer accounts.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Process customer payments via credit card or preauthorized payment.
- Provide support to the city accountant.
- Assist with both internal and external audits.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Diploma in accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality in professional responsibilities.
- Exhibits the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Open-minded and adaptable to change, with a willingness to acquire new skills in a dynamic setting.
- Possesses intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office/Office 365.
