Position Overview
The Sunshine Coast Regional District is currently inviting applications for the position of Accounts Payable Technician (Full-Time, Regular). We are looking for an experienced person to join our team! Under general supervision of the Manager, Financial Services, the Accounts Payable Technician is responsible for the administration of Accounts Payable processes in accordance with all statutory requirements, Bylaws, policies and procedures.
Compensation and Hours of Work
This is a bargaining unit position with a wage rate of $37.25 per houras of 2024 (Grid 1, Band 11), working 35 hours per week. Annual vacation starts at three weeks (or 6%), in addition to 13 paid statutory holidays (after 30 days of employment). Vacation porting is available to those who come from specific public service areas. As per the newly ratified Collective Agreement, you will receive a full benefit package upon hire that includes extended health and dental coverage, a combined paramedical of up to $1250, eyewear, eye exams, paid sick leave, family responsibility leave, short-term and long-term disability leave, group life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP). And finally, all SCRD employees have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) upon hire, for free, confidential counselling services.
