The Role

As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you’ll be responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative support to ensure customer accounts are efficiently, timely and accurately reconciled. Main Duties and Responsibilities
As an Accounts Receivable Associate you will:
- Reconcile accounts daily
- Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Initiate collection efforts
- Strengthen and grow relationships by communicating professionally with customers via phone and email
- Interact with the Sales and Other departments and to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain sound credit policies; perform credit checks
- Apply cash daily and reconcile all payments received daily
- Communicate discrepancies, slow-paying customers and collection issues to management
- Administrative duties may including running POS reports, preparing debit notes, invoicing, supporting other finance team members, Filing and other general office duties.
Key Skills and Competencies
· Has 1-3 years experience working with Accounts receivable type duties
· Has a good understanding of accounting concepts.
· Has experience working with and understanding the use of spreadsheets.
· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products and the ability to type fluently.
· Strong Excel skills
· Is detail oriented, highly organized and accurate.
· Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to meet urgent deadlines and manage time effectively
· Comfortable with high volume and, at times, repetitive work
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
· Positive attitude
Education and Experience
· High school diploma
· Knowledge of Accounts Receivable
· Knowledge of general accounting principals
· Computer literate
