Leasing Agent/Tenant Services Coordinator
6 Month Contract
KFHC is searching for a six-month contract position for a Leasing Agent/Tenant Service Coordinator to join the Property Management team.
The coordinator is the initial point of contact for potential applicants and tenants by answering questions about the properties and buildings, showing units, conducting open houses, determining eligibility, and collecting the required paperwork and documentation for the initial rent calculation and the development of the lease for signature.
The coordinator is responsible for building and fostering landlord-tenant relationships through the implementation of the tenant engagement strategy as well as assisting the property management department in the tenant retention strategy.
This position requires an energetic personality who has effective communication and people management skills, the ability to problem solve effectively and multi-task, and organize the workflow in a detailed and accurate manner.
The salary is $29.27 an hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits and vacation with a 35-hour work week Monday to Friday. The position is a bargaining unit position that falls under CUPE Local 109 therefore subject to union dues.
The successful applicant must have strong customer service abilities and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, a proven ability to deliver results and to manage short and long-term priorities in a busy and changing work environment.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline.
· Minimum of two years’ experience in housing, property management and rental market sector
· Knowledge of property management functions and related legislation
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Energetic personality
· Proficiency in computerized systems, Yardi experience is an asset.
· Obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and possess a valid G driver’s license.
