Intent of the process

Please Note: This position will be on-site in Waterton Lakes National Park. This position requires an in-office presence.
The results of this process will be used to fill anticipatory term/Acting/Assignment at level vacancies and may be used in the future to fill permanent and temporary vacancies that may arise, in various locations, with full or part-time hours for various tenures, such as: Seasonal Indeterminate, Term, Acting Assignment or Assignment at level, depending on status of the selected candidate.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards or an acceptable level of education, training and work related experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in general clerical and office procedures;
  • Experience in basic accounting and cash handling;
  • Experience in the use of various software applications including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word;
  • Experience in computer data input and preparing reports.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of administrative office procedures and practices;
  • Knowledge of safe cash handling practices;
  • Knowledge of revenue accounting principles, procedures and practices

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required;
  • Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation;
