Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Administrative Assistantfor our client located in Edmonton, AB.

As an Administrative Assistant, you'll support terminal and Edmonton area pipeline operations by managing office supplies, coordinating shipments, maintaining records, and handling administrative tasks like data entry and scheduling. This senior role involves mentoring staff, managing confidential information, and driving process development.

  • Shifts: Monday – Friday | 8 hours a day

  • Job type: Full-time | Temporary

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to terminal & Edmonton area pipeline.

  • Ordering stationery for office and office supply

  • Material Requisition: follow-ups to vendors for materials that have already been ordered and have not arrived on time or have arrived but have been shipped to wrong address.

  • Shipping packages through various companies.  

  • Filling & Record management.

  • Data entry, expenses report submission

  • Daya to day administrative work includes typing, filing, answering phones, scheduling, calendaring, record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies and/or sorting/distributing mail.

  • May work on special projects to include recording, compiling, retrieving, reporting and analyzing information.

  • This position would typically include senior Administrative Assistant who is able to manage, train and mentor other office staff, lead projects, handle confidential and sensitive data. Nature of the job is generally creating rather than maintaining and developing rather than monitoring.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Post graduate diploma in business administration.

  • Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in manufacturing/ logistic/ supply chain/ oil & Gas or construction industry.

  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize. Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and email systems, strong administrative coordination abilities, customer service experience
