Administrative Assistant:Student Records and Finance – Coulee Collegiate
Coulee Collegiate invites applications from qualified individuals to join the team as a full-time Administrative Assistant. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for staff to work in an innovative environment, working with committed, mature students. Coulee Collegiate is located on the Medicine Hat College campus.
Description:
Reporting to the school Principal, the Administrative Assistant will provide excellent service to all staff, students and school families. Responsibilities include but are not limited to management of school Student Information Systems (PowerSchool and PASI), bookkeeping and bank records reconciliation, and other general business practices required in a larger High School. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative and cooperative environment while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Qualifications:
Administrative Office Professional Certificate, Business Administration Diploma or equivalent; relevant work experiencemay be considered
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Proven organizational skills
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Experience in working with PowerSchool and/or PASI would be an asset, but not a requirement
Previous work experience in a school environment is an asset
Terms of Employment:
Effective immediately or upon a mutually agreeable date
Monday – Friday 32.5 hours per week (done at 1:00 pm on Fridays)
Possibility of hours during the months of July and August
About Coulee Collegiate
Coulee Collegiate is a new High School, opened during the 2020-2021 school year, developed in partnership between Prairie Rose Public Schools, Medicine Hat Public School Division, and Medicine Hat College. The school is designed to assist students in academic upgrading through a Distance Learning approach or through face to face classes timetabled throughout the school year. Coulee Collegiate is a blend between High School and College environments, providing students the opportunity to take High School classes in alternative ways while in a College atmosphere.
