The SMA (www.sma.sk.ca) is a voluntary, member-based, professional association for physicians, medical students and residents in the province and it is the provincial chapter of the Canadian Medical Association. As the trusted voice of Saskatchewans 2,600 practicing physicians, the SMA negotiates for and on behalf of our doctors; supports the educational, professional, economic, and personal well-being of physicians; and advocates for a high-quality and patient-centred, health-care system.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Administrative Coordinator, Economics to join our growing team!
This position is responsible for providing high-quality and timely administrative coordination to the Economics Director, Economics Department teams, SMA Sections, various SMA Committee Chairs (Economics Committee, Tariff Committee, Intersectional Council, Uninsured Services Committee, Payment Schedule Review Committee, and Medical Compensation Review Committee), and external stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Health Medical Services Branch. This position oversees all aspects of Section operations at the semi-annual Representative Assembly (RA), from initial planning to execution and evaluation.
This position is based on-site at our office in Saskatoon, SK, with a voluntary hybrid work option subject to approval under our Hybrid Work Arrangement policy.
