This seasonal position is geared toward youth who want to gain experience in coordinating and organizing community outreach events geared to promoting visual arts literacy and heritage. Responsibilities associated with this position are:
- Assisting in planning activities that provide access to visual literacy and heritage relating to the North West Mounted Police and local Indigenous histories. This includes working with/coordinating with professional musicians, performers, artisans, artists, historians, and local Indigenous Elders. The primary objectives of this position are to assist with: bookings, marketing, communications, on-site program delivery, and scheduling.
- Assist in generating print and digital materials such as maps/layouts, brochures, and online content.
- Contribute to the marketing and coordination efforts under the direction of the Director/Curator and other committee members.
- Assist with general admin relating to the outreach events.
- Update website and promote events on social media.
- Work with volunteers and staff members to generate content for the event.
- Picking up supplies for events
- Ensuring that professional standards are upheld
- Positive representation of the EAGM in the community
- Representing a role model in the community

Contract length: 8 weeks
Salary: Up to $14.00 per hour
