The position of Aircraft Groomer is responsible ensuring the aircraft meets Central Mountain Air’s standards for cleanliness and overall appearance. The Aircraft Groomer will have the ability to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft grooming and is responsible to the Base Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for cleaning and preparing the interior of aircraft. Responsibilities include picking up trash, vacuuming, cleaning all areas of the passenger cabin, lavatories, galleys, and overhead compartments, and restacking aircraft.
  • Wash aircraft exterior. Including washing main fuselage, landing gear, and other parts.
  • Emptying lavs and refilling water supply.
  • Identify and report any interior or exterior issues.
  • Ensuring any grooming issues are raised and reported in a timely manner.
  • Safely operate equipment such as Lav cart, Ground Power unit, Tug
  • Signing for the performance of their work.
  • Performing work in accordance with specific Aircraft Cleaning Procedures.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the hangar and work area.
  • Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace.
  • Support aircraft movement requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High School education completed.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds, able to climb up and down ladders
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Takes initiative and is reliable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, evening/night shift work including weekends, and holidays coverage.
  • Willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a RAIC and AVOP driver’s License.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to be flexible.
