Apiary Worker/Beekeeper – Seasonal

As an Apiary worker you will be exposed to all aspects of beekeeping from hive management to making product for direct sale. This is a physically demanding job that requires working outside in weather of all kinds .

No experience is required

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

· Hive management

· Queen rearing

· Making up nucleus colonies

· Moving hives

· Beeyard Trimming and Maintenance

· Building and assembling equipment

· Honey harvesting

· Honey Extracting

· Packing honey and hive products

· Making candles, soap and cosmetics

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Must be capable of lifting 70lbs

· Must work well in a team

· Cannot be allergic to bee stings

· Beekeeping experience and/or education is an asset

· Driver’s license is an asset

· Must be available to work some evenings and weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
