Application and Support Technician(On-Site)

This role is designed to be a support for our external IT Service Providers, manage the firm’s equipment inventory and provide minor technical troubleshooting. The qualified candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of computer equipment setup and functionality. The position requires adaptability, strong time-management skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively. This role is required to work on-site in our Kamloops office, this is not a remote position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting of basic computer issues and other equipment maintenance
- Maintains and updates the Firm’s equipment inventory
- Setting up computers and other related equipment for lawyers and staff, including new hires
- Reviewing new user profiles and access to applications, software, and printers
- Reviewing IT equipment needs for the office
- Researching and ordering IT related supplies
- Liaising with our IT Service Provider to answer help desk questions related to software, computers, printers, Wi-Fi, and other equipment.
- Managing all Multi-function Printers
- Managing disbursement tracking systems
- Onboarding new users
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades and rollouts.
- Escalate unresolved issues or complex issues and ensure timely resolution
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and provide recommendations as necessary
- Arranging disposal of defective equipment i.e., printers, scanners, computers
- Other duties as required
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum two years of recent, related experience working in an IT service capacity, supplemented by certificate or program completion in information systems; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Familiarity and understanding of the functions of computer hardware and software
- Proficient in Windows platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external contacts
- Champions positive working relationships
- Ability to carry up to 50lbs

Status: Permanent, Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. 35 hours per week.
