We are seeking a highly motivated Architect with experience in enterprise and/or hosted applications development. You will work closely with a very experienced team to extend and support our industry-leading integration solutions and work with many of the latest technologies. We seek a candidate with demonstrable, proven expertise in Cloud application architecture, microservice architecture, design, and implementation. Broad experience in various types of databases, distributed, and web-based applications.
About the Role
As an Architect you will:
Design and Deliver: Provide thought leadership and influence on the following areas:
Design, development, and scaling of customer facing REST APIs
Approaches related to decentralized data engineering and data meshes
Application of cloud technologies
Modernizing the application and accelerate our move to a microservice architecture
Be collaborative:
Collaborate with architects, managers, product managers, and engineers to establish architecture direction
Work with architects from different groups on TR wide initiatives
Be curious and innovative:
Keep abreast of new technology and industry trends, including implementation of proof of concepts to understand approaches and technologies
Mentor and coach:Mentor engineers in robust design, influence, and leadership
Be a decision maker: Make quick and effective data-driven decisions, with good problem solving and analytical skills to infer qualitative and quantitative data and roll-out strategy that aligns with company goals.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of an Architect if you have:
Basic qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
10+ years experience in software development, design, and architecture. Experience with distributed systems patterns including microservices and asynchronous, message-based communication
1-2 years of experience developing cloud-native applications using Azure cloud platform services with exposure to infrastructure as code and DevOps principles.
Experience with C#, .NET Framework, Microservices, REST APIs, and SQL databases
Have experience in implementing containerized applications using orchestration technologies like docker, Kubernetes
Familiarity with event streaming and NoSQL approaches
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue), micro frontends and backend for frontend design patterns
Proven ability to incorporate architecture aspects such as security, scalability, flexibility, portability, maintainability, cost, operability, availability, and disaster recovery into designs
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and analyze new technologies
Experience in designing large-scale and complex systems
Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem solving
Proven ability to be a team player possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
Willing to dive deep into the code and collaborate with teams implement solutions you have designed
Strong focus on system performance with the ability to troubleshoot in large and complex software systems
Communicate both written (documentation) and verbal (knowledge sharing sessions) effectively to help educate and drive technical startegy with team
Provide technical guidance to teams, ensuring design and architecture are aligned with the global strategy
Able to work independently with minimal direction to achieve goals
Experience with data analytic architectures (optional)
