What is the opportunity?
As a Site Reliability Engineer or Application Systems Analyst in this role, you'll be working on one of the RBC’s crown jewel applications. Primary responsibility is to maintain and enhance the application to support every changing business requirement. Participates in the technical design, development, and implementation of application systems.
What will you do?
- Automate monitoring task.
- Automate PIV tasks.
- Work with QE to help them enhance their performance and regression automated test suites.
- Work with Application Operation Support team to troubleshoot production issues.
- Periodic certificate renewals
- Application enhancement, patching and service pack upgrades.
- Knowledge repository enhancement
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Have a well-rounded understanding of Linux operating system including firewalls, certificates, PGP encryption and various file transfer protocols e.g., SFTP, AS2, Connect: Direct etc.
- Will need very good analytical skills as the candidate will be working on a very business critical application with a lot of dependency and visibility.
- Self-learner and independent
- Very presentable with good communication skills as the role involves constant communication with various other teams and stake holders.
