Aquatics Manager

OVERVIEW 
The Aquatics Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the pool operations, ensuring the areas are safe and sanitary.  They also supervise and monitor individual team members.
JOB DUTIES
-Coordinates team member selection, training, scheduling and development of direct reports and ensures all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
-Greets and establishes rapport with guests.
-Performs pool opening and closing duties.  Monitors and adjusts pool temperature as directed.
-Ensures safety equipment is present and in working order.  Checks first aid kit for needed supplies on daily basis.
-Ensures team certifications are current.
-Inspects aquatic equipment to ensure working order; reports any needed repairs to the RV Resort General Manager.
-Adheres to Sun’s Timekeeping Policy by reviewing, verifying accuracy, approving, and submitting direct report(s) time recorded.
-Partners with HR Generalist on team member counseling and recommendation of termination when appropriate.
-Conducts annual team member performance review evaluations and recommends compensation adjustments; coaches and accurately appraises performance.
-Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
-High School Education (some HS education required)
-Valid driver's license and good driving record
-Good verbal communication skills
-Ability to interact effectively with a variety of people
-Must be able to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
-Must have flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
-Professional appearance
-Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
-Pool pump room and chemical knowledge preferred.
-NLS required with 2 years experience
-Standard First Aid and CPR required

The internal transfer process provides Sun team members with the opportunity to transfer within the Company either laterally or promotionally when possible.  As job opportunities occur, they may be posted on this site. -You must have six months of service in your current position to be considered for transfer opportunities, unless approved by senior management. 
-You must have earned an overall performance rating of “meets expectations” or better during the immediately preceding performance evaluation period. 
-You cannot have any documented performance issues (e.g. performance counseling notices) within the last six months when considering a transfer opportunity or within the last 12 months when considering a promotional opportunity. 
-You must obtain the approval of your current manager.
