Arena Attendant

The Arena Attendant role is to ensure the arena requirements are met in a timely fashion. Arena Attendants are responsible to maintain the ice surface and prepare the ice for bookings using an Olympia ice resurfacer, ice edger and other equipment. The position also entails maintenance and upkeep of the entire arena facility. Customer service skills required.

· Physical requirement for heavy work.

· Physical requirement for snow removal in large areas and other outdoor duties.

· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task required.

· Operation of machinery and tools required.

· Good customer service required as an ambassador of the community centre. Position requires good communication with many groups.

· Ability to work alone required.

Arena experience and experience with machinery is an asset. Good communication skills are essential.

Full time position is for Sunday-Thursday evenings with occasional exceptions and some seasons with reduced hours. Partial benefits available after 6 months of service with health/dental after 12 months. RRSP contributions available after 12 months of service with matching contributions up to 5%.

Salary: dependant on qualifications/provincial power engineer certificate status

Salary: $18.94-$26.84 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
