Job Description: As a member of an interdisciplinary team and under the direction of the Manager of Family Treatment Centre, the Senior Assessor Coordinator- Clinical Lead's primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking residential inpatient services for addiction by implementing services consistent with the current Provincial Clinical Model for Alcohol and Drug Services and the philosophy, objectives and standards set by the Family Treatment Centre. This position will be responsible to assess all referrals to the centre. This position will be responsible to provide individual and family counselling to up to 8 clients/families in an inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in one of the following: Addiction Counseling, Social Work or combination of a Degree in a relevant social science or human services in combination with an addiction counselor diploma. Eligibility in a professional association preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in program facilitation, counselling and providing clinical supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of addiction and concurrent disorders and their related issues. Knowledge of the effects on the individual, family unit and community.
