We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join our team in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive the execution of pipeline integrity programs and support various aspects of pipeline engineering and risk management.

Position Overview:
As the Pipeline Integrity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of the Pipeline Integrity program in your area. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing pipeline integrity projects, providing technical support for fitness-for-service evaluations, conducting root cause analyses (RCA), and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure the integrity and reliability of our clients' pipeline assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the Pipeline Integrity program in the designated area, ensuring program execution meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering on pipeline risk management, including developing and executing 5-year pipeline plans.
  • Coordinate the execution of pipeline integrity projects, including organizing and leading execution meetings.
  • Provide support to Production teams during loss of primary containment (LOPC) events and other integrity-related interruptions.
  • Offer technical expertise for higher-level pipeline and pressure equipment fitness-for-service evaluations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) and develop a deep understanding of damage mechanisms affecting pipeline integrity.
  • Engage with Operations, Pipeline Construction, Maintenance, Field Engineering, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Initiate and execute pipeline engineering assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide support for Capital Projects by addressing integrity-related inquiries from Calgary Facility Engineering.
  • Execute and manage leak detection programs to enhance pipeline safety and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (PEng designation required).
  • Previous experience in pipeline integrity management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline risk management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of thermal oil and gas fields, including steam-assisted gravity drain (SAGD) and steam flood operations, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in conducting fitness-for-service evaluations and root cause analyses.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and self-motivation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00-$145,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
