Position Overview
You’re a self-starter with an exceptional ability to analyze, identify and offer solutions to complete processes. Your experience and understanding of Asset Management, combined with your analytical skills, allow you to tackle challenges confidently to ensure our energy delivery systems meet our carbon reduction objectives. Your overall experience and know-how make you a great candidate for our Asset Management Engineer position.
In this role, you’ll provide engineering support to the capital and asset improvement process. You’ll also lead the development of capital projects and programs from project infancy through the capital budget process.
In year 1, you will:
-Lead day-to-day identification, analysis and project development activities for projects while familiarizing yourself with our Asset Management processes.
-Establish effective working relationships with peers and business units, including System Capacity Planning, and Station Engineering, and Asset Maintenance Planning Asset Management (T,D and stations) . 
-Familiarize yourself with existing processes, tools, and activities to identify, develop, and budget capital work. 
In year 2, you will:
-Develop plans and business cases for new projects and initiatives across various operational areas while working with project teams to advance projects through project development processes. 
-Identify and propose improvements to existing processes for developing capital projects and Asset Management practices. 
-Support and provide the capital budget process and regulatory applications. 
What it takes:
-A bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, chemical or electrical engineering from a recognized program. 
-A Professional Engineering designation or eligibility to obtain with a minimum of four to eight years experience.     
-Experience or understanding of Asset Management processes related to energy delivery systems.
-Excellent analytical and prioritization skills.
