Provides administrative support to the Accounts Manager in all of the following areas,
General Duties
- Answering member inquiries concerning account status and club events
- Providing administrative support to the General Manager and the rest of the Management team as well as the Men’s and Ladies’ Captains
- Ordering of office supplies
- Other general office duties utilizing Microsoft Office applications and facilitating the execution of club events
- Opening and distribution of mail to appropriate individuals
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining filing systems
- Maintaining and updating information in Buz software (Changes in Membership status and information
- Preparing and posting of journal entries, including bi-weekly payroll, on a regular basis
- Working with auditors to provide information for year-end financial statements
- Ordering of locker tags, assignment of lockers, and maintaining an up-to-date list in association with Locker Room staff
- Renewing of annual Golf Canada memberships through their website, posting of fees to member accounts, reconciliation and remitting to Golf Canada upon invoicing
Accounts Receivable
- Verification and posting of Food & Beverage and Pro Shop chits on a daily basis
- Preparing bank deposits, debit, credit card and internet payments ensuring proper credit to accounts
- Preparation of Statement of Accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintaining an up-to-date list of yearly initiation fees due and payable as per General Manager
Accounts Payable
- In conjunction with General Manager and Department Heads, ensuring correct coding of all invoices
- Entering invoices into the accounting system and preparing cheques for signature ensuring all invoices are paid on a timely basis
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll submitted through Ceridian
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Control and balance of petty cash
- Preparing monthly WSIB and quarterly HST remittances as well as yearly reconciliation forms for EHT and WSIB
The contract runs from April to November
