At Pedal Pub Calgary, we are a purpose driven company to do one thing: to Pedal Happiness. Our goal is simple, to provide a spectacular shared customer experience while touring local hotspots in Calgary. Pedal Pub is a 15-person Pedal Powered Patio designed to turn heads and create genuine smiles for both our paid guests and the public onlookers.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will execute tasks to fulfill the requirements of the Pedal Pub Calgary. The AGM is responsible for all day-to-day operations and staff management.

The AGM provides leadership, management, and organization while following proper operation controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems that have been implemented to guarantee the effective performance of the company.

The AGM will work in tandem with the GM to oversee the Pedal Pub Calgary staff. As with any small business, they must be able to provide support and direction to team members, while still jumping in to perform necessary basic tasks themselves.

Start Date: April 1st– (Flexible start, can be negotiated)

Tasks & Duties (KPI’s):

• Assist in setting staff schedule and ensuring all tours are properly staffed
• Set route schedule and arrival times. Ensure partner venues are notified of all upcoming tours with at least 24 hours written notice
• Ensure clean office space, including garbage checks, mopping, bathroom, and yard
• Respond to customer inquiries as soon as possible. Maximum response time of 12 hours to respond to email, 24 hours for voicemail, 7 days a week
• Monitor and answer phone calls during regular business hours and through off hours on Saturdays
• Track staff pay hours and send to General Manager on regular basis to meet payroll deadlines
• Maintain effective onboarding, and retention of employees
• Monitor partner venue relationships and work to improve or maintain them
• Help to reinforce policies that encourage company culture
• Ensure bikes and pilots are equipped with all tools necessary for success
• Assist with guest check in and ensure waiver checks

Job Type: Seasonal

Salary: $21.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
