Job Summary:
Functions as a strategic business leader of property operations and acts as General Manager in his/her absence. Will work directly with department heads to develop and implement KJ Management service strategy and brand initiatives. Assists with ensuring operations meet KJ Managements targets for customer needs, ensuring employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues. Works closely with the General Manager in overseeing hotel operations, including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, team building, and staff development.
Job Duties:
- Representative of the management team to hotel guests, employees, and members of the community.
- Performs functions of the General Manager in his or her absence.
- Leadership, training, and performance management of all departments with responsibility for the Front Office Operations.
- “Hands-on” and active member of the front desk team, performing the role of guest service representative and night audit as scheduled.
- Oversee and participate in day-to-day operations and sales activities
- Ensure that all appropriate systems and controls are in place to produce accurate reports
- Assist General Manager with Accounts Receivables
- Assist General Manager with Administrative duties as required
- Assists with bi-weekly payroll processing
- Assists the General Manager with ongoing facility inspections throughout the hotel to ensure that cleanliness, safety, and other standards are consistent
- Reports and follows procedures concerning any injuries and accidents in the workplace, instructs staff to follow safe working practices, and enforces Health and Safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain all company policies and procedures
- Ensure 100% guest satisfaction. Receives, investigates, and acts upon complaints from guests
- Ensure Revenue Management goals are met or exceeded by assisting in developing, preparing, and executing, financial goals
- Increase Market Share by knowing the hotel’s position to the local competition and ensuring that plans are developed and executed to improve that position by maximizing hotel sales
- Assists the General Manager in developing and implementing long-range and annual plans for operating, forecasting, and operating reports
- Fills in for any vacant shifts as needed and assigned by the General Manager
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights. • Function as the Manager on Duty and on call for property emergencies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
