Assistant Manager - Porcupine Dante Club

The Porcupine Dante Club is an Italian-Canadian Cultural Club, Banquet Hall and Restaurant located in Timmins, ON. We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Manager to work roughly 20 hours a week (mostly evenings). We offer a competitive wage and benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing

Qualifications:

- Background in the Hospitality industry. Applicant is required to have an up to date Smart Serve.

- Knowledge and experience in supervising a large restaurant or banquet facility.

- Strong management skills in dealing with personnel and conflict resolution.

- Excellent work ethic.

- Strong communication skills and a problem solver who shows initiative.

- Ability to work flexible hours that include weekends, days, evenings and call ins as required.

- Able to speak and write proficiently in English. (additional languages considered an asset)

- Leadership skills

- Able to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements/Duties:

- Manage and supervise staff.

- Ensure that events, the restaurant, the lounge and take out run smoothly.

- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment.

- Deal with any issues that may arise during the shift.

- Able to deal with some physical tasks (eg. set up and take down of tables and chairs)

- Communicate pertinent information/concerns to the Manager of the Porcupine Dante Club.

- Be prepared for changes to the weekly work schedule.
