Purpose
The Assistant Manager, IB Communications contributes to the overall success of the International Banking (IB) Communications team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. The incumbent will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
-Assist with planning and production of IB internal communications materials including primary content research for videos, town halls, and assorted presentations as required.
-Work with partners to develop the above communications, as needed, and coordinates their delivery.
-With coaching, work closely with the creative team and other colleagues to design and distribute email campaigns (including setup on AEM site) and quarterly materials.
-Support drafting, editing, and formatting/design of internal communications, including monthly and quarterly newsletters, emails, invitations, and leadership messages.
-Provide primary logistical support for IB Comms’ events planning.
-Act as the primary relationship manager between IB Comms and the Scotiabank events team in Toronto, ensuring seamless event planning and logistics.
-Work closely with in-country partners to plan and execute events remotely and measure results.
-Be the primary relationship manager with translation services (internal and external) and occasionally accountable for in-house translating as needed.
-Be solely responsible for post-event deliverables and reports: manage and update participant databases, conduct attendee surveys, report and present findings; have an excellent command of file management and archiving.
-Support in-person and hybrid events.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have the following experience:
-1-3 years of experience in a corporate communications role.
-Strong skills with all MS Office programs.
-Knowledge or experience in web design an asset.
