Assistant Store Manager

Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites entrepreneurial-minded individuals to apply for the Assistant Store Manager position. The Assistant Store Manager is an integral leadership role within the Freson Bros. (Fresh Market) - Stony Plain, Alberta store and Freson Bros. company.
Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of management experience
• A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a retail environment
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
• Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
• A passion for leading and developing others
• Knowledge of the basic principles of management procedures, policies, and standards
• Ability to work during peak grocery-retail hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Role and Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts
• Schedule Team Members to ensure that customer needs are met
• Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team
• Train, develop, and motivate Team Members
• Resolve customer and team member concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience
• Champion the Freson Bros. Brand and culture by modelling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth

Position Details:

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Location: Stony Plain, Alberta
• Salary: $52,000 - $65,000 / year
