Purpose
Responsible for supporting GBM by facilitating the aggregation of information and Internal Control reporting for non-financial risk.
What You'll Do:
-Assist in the consolidation of reporting of non-financial risk to senior management.
-Provide input/support in the development and communication of processes to support reporting related to operational risk loss events, risk assessments and issues management.
-Inventory KRI/metric data for consolidation purposes.
-Assist in preparing for regulatory and audit requests including collating information and providing responses.
-Develop engaging and insightful management reports using business intelligence software.
-Maintain centralized data for certain metrics reporting.
-Identify and address opportunities for improving controls and efficiencies of processes.
-Assist Management with ad-hoc requests and special projects.
-Coordinating and ensuring completion of ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
-Creating and understanding meaningful, robust business commentary for various recurring Management and Executive Committees, Board meetings, and regulatory forums.
-Develop and enhance tools and processes through innovative use of the available technologies.
-Assist in supporting existing tools, along with creating numerous new tools, reports, and automated processes to manage operational risks and regulatory information such as.
-Develop Key Risk Indicators, Key Performance Indicators and/or metrics tools to facilitate oversight and supervision of sales and trading staff.
-Maintain and develop additional functionality to in-house tracking tools and provide periodic and ad-hoc reports to management.
-Create detailed documentation and training guides for tools and systems, and ensure all processes are clearly documented.
-Ensure departmental objectives are met by keeping current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teaching and maintaining an understanding of new software development technologies.
What You'll Bring:
-University Degree/MBA/CFA or minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in capital markets.
-Demonstrate significant maturity, credibility and sound judgment in dealing with senior management across business lines, risk management and support groups.
-Knowledge and experience in using database and business intelligence software for reporting.
-CFA or FRM is an asset
-High proficiency in Excel (including VBA or Office Scripts), data structuring and data analytics and visualization (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau, R).
-Excellent knowledge and experience in programming, development, database design and related technologies.
-Ability to come up with solutions and technical design based on high level business requirements.
-Passionate about programming, technology, and improving processes.
-Proficient at quickly learning/understanding code to troubleshoot and fix bugs.
-Demonstrate maturity, credibility and sound judgment in dealing with senior management across business lines, risk management and support groups.
-Team player with strong written, communication and presentation skills.
-The ability to prioritize amongst many competing deliverables at any given time.
Work Arrangement:
This position is currently a Hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work 3 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
