Role overview
What you’ll do
· Develop comprehensive project plans, establish landmarks, handle changes in project scopes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
· Effectively coordinate multi-functional teams, providing guidance and oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle.
· Serve as the main point of contact for clients, proactively communicating updates on project statuses, addressing concerns, mitigating risks, and maintaining positive relationships.
· Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership by delivering impactful reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs), progress towards goals, and areas requiring improvement or additional support.
· Manage program stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning projects accordingly to achieve desired outcomes.
· Use expert risk management strategies to monitor, assess, and mitigate any issues that may arise during project implementation.
· Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, legal regulations, and best practices related to project management.

What you bring to the role
· Minimum of 16 years of demonstrable experience in program management.
· Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience.
· Comprehensive knowledge of COTS products, specifically those used in the insurance sector.
· Solid background in leading large-scale initiatives involving multiple departments and external partners.
· Good problem-solving capabilities, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
· Highly adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced environments undergoing constant change.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build trust, influence decisions, and maintain productive working relationships across various levels of the organization.
· Proven track record of successfully guiding multi-functional teams toward achieving ambitious targets.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degrees such as MBA or Master's in IT highly preferred.

Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
