Purpose:
The Associate Director will be a trader on the securities lending desk in Toronto and will actively trade the North American securities lending book with a specific focus on Canadian and US securities
What You'll Do:
-Actively borrow securities to cover client / internal needs
-Provide the Hedge Fund Coverage desk with market colour, locates and lending rates
-Manage and further develop relationships with Agent lender and broker counterparties, with a specific focus on trading Canadian and US securities
-Assist in automating processes and creating revenue-driven efficiencies
-Work with credit and documentation to ensure the desk works within risk constraints
 
What  You'll Bring:
-Knowledge of the North American securities lending market
-A University degree in a related field
-Knowledge of trading, settlement, corporate actions, recalls
-CSC and CPH would be an asset 
Work Arrangement: 
This position is currently an on-site role, with the expectation that you will work at least 4 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
