Purpose
Manage a portfolio of Global Banking and Markets clients in several industries across North America. Contribute to the overall success of the Supply Chain Finance team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensure that all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Work closely with Global Banking and Markets coverage teams and act as a subject matter expert on Supply Chain Finance
• Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
• Responsible for providing SCF Solutions to an assigned Portfolio of existing and prospect GBM clients in North America, and selectively to Canadian Commercial banking segment
• Ensure business goals are achieved by retaining and increasing the overall profitability of the portfolio while maintaining an acceptable level of risk
• In close collaboration with GBM, identify new opportunities prepare and deliver client pitches, structure and analyze new transactions
• Grow and expand existing programs and handle customer requests for amendments of existing credit facilities: complete risk assessments and prepare credit presentations and recommendations
• Review SCF Product terms and credit/legal documentation in conjunction with internal and external Legal Counsel, culminating in the closing of transactions
• Lead end-to-end onboarding of new clients by coordinating with internal partners (Corporate Banking, GRM, Execution, Operations, GBM Onboarding).
• Development and delivery of client presentations, pitch and proposals
• Manage the risk of the assigned complex portfolio whilst ensuring Bank's risk appetite and risk culture is adhered to
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What You'll Bring:

• Typically, 7+ years of relevant corporate banking experience
• Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge. Demonstrated a history of successful business development activity with complex clients
• Experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, and structuring is essential
• Experience in contact negotiations with both clients and legal counsel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Work Arrangement:

• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
• Domestic and International travel required
