Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Corporate Physical Security team as the Associate Director, Vendor and Contract Management. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing vendor relationships across all Physical Corporate Security operations globally, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and SLA’s, and driving value creation through frequent audits to guarantee optimal utilization of resources. The ideal candidate will thrive in an organization that adheres to the three lines of defense model and will also play a crucial role in performing facility threat risk assessments to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and standards. Collaboratively working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that contracting strategy and plans are well defined. Manage the contractual requirements and relationships between RBC Corporate Physical Security (CPS) and Contractors/suppliers. Job Description

What will you be doing?

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive vendor management strategies to optimize performance, cost, and value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts, ensuring strict adherence to contractual agreements and SLAs.
  • Monitor vendor performance, conduct regular reviews, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Value Creation:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for value creation within the Corporate Physical Security business line, focusing on efficiency, cost savings, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and communicate the impact of value creation efforts.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and standards related to vendor management and Contractual obligations.
  • Perform facility threat risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure that all vendor contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including CRE, finance, legal, human resources, and operations, to align strategies and achieve common goals.

What do you need to succeed in the role?

Must have:

  • Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Vendor and Contract Management at a leadership level
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance regulations
  • Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills, with an ability to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several diverse projects or situations concurrently.
  • Provides recommendation for best solutions based on understanding of business requirement, needs and challenges.

Nice to have:

  • Educational background in Business Administration, Public Policy or related fields
  • Experience working in a highly regulated space would be an asset, such as banking/finance, insurance, healthcare, etc
