Unified LLP, a medium-sized law firm known for its great work environment and legal excellence, is currently seeking a Family Law Associate with at least 2 years of post-call family law experience. Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings and submissions.
- Represent clients in court and attend hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of post-call family law experience.
- Strong knowledge of court procedures and practice directions as issued by the various courts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- LL.B. or J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
