Auger Truck Operator (With Class 1 License, Manual 10 Speed)

JOB – AUGER TRUCK OPERATOR (CLASS 1)

· Full Time, 50 hours weekly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform skilled work of the Auger Truck Operator in drilling holes in soil to install guide rail posts

· Select and attach drill bits and changing drill bits as needed. Operate controls to stabilize machines and to position and align drills

· Regulate air pressure, rotary speed, and downward pressure, according to the type of soil, rock or concrete being drilled.

· Follow verbal and written procedures with accuracy and attention to detail

· Conduct daily preventative maintenance and assist in the coordination of required repairs of all heavy equipment

· Accomplish minor labor duties as required such as picking up raw materials and/or deliveries to fence crews on site or etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 2 years of Truck Driving required.

· Previous experience operating Heavy Equipment would be an asset.

· Valid Class 1E driver’s license with air endorsement and have a good drivers abstract

· Ensure and display a detailed and thorough understanding of the National Safety Code, including but not limited to permitting, hours of service, weights and measurements and load securement

· Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with the manager and fellow employees

· Ability to work outside in heat/cold environment, PPE is supplied
