We are currently seeking a qualified Automation Engineertowork on leading edge technology products. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement control systems for complex automated sequences of events.
- Develop motion control systems using servo drives.
- Integrate process components such as pumps, valves, and actuators into control systems.
- Develop target delivery systems and delivery machines for use in nuclear reactor environments.
- Upgrade existing plant systems using modern hardware and software.
- Develop control systems using standard industrial automation technology such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 5+ years experience.
- Degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automation or related field.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Schneider/Modicon M580 PLCs.
- Experience with HMIs, specifically Citect or Wonderware.
- Familiarity with Siemens and HIMA automation systems.
- Expertise in industrial automation and motion control systems.
- Ability to work on complex motion or process control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in Canadian nuclear or other high-QA field (e.g. aerospace, medical, defense) preferred.
