Automotive Parts Manager

Cobourg Kia is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, positive and self-

motivated team member who is reliable, honest, organized and detail-oriented with a strong desire to succeed.

Role purpose:

Manage Parts Department operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer

satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the effective operations of all Parts Department activities within the dealership
• Works with General Manager, Service and Sales Manager to maintain adequate supplies of parts and accessories inventory.
• Maintain efficient and clean parts and accessory department.
• Manages parts inventory levels and monitors old or aged slow-moving parts inventories to be classified as obsolete

inventory.

• Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
• Active in counter and phone sales of parts.
• Reviews vendor invoices for correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
• Achieve and maintain a Master level Kia University certification
• Ensures that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory through 10 bin

accuracy.

• Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
• Supervises stock order procedures.
• Enforces policy on the special ordering or parts.
• Attends managers’ meetings.
• Directs shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
• Develops a showroom marketing strategy for accessories.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with our wholesale clients.
• Prepares and creates plan to achieve annual budget/forecast.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years Automotive Parts Management experience
• SERTI DMS experience is an asset
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• All applicants must be authorized to work in Canada
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
• All applicants must have a Valid Ontario Driver’s License
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication and managerial skills.

Employment Terms:

• Full-time permanent
• Schedule is 8am – 5pm with hour lunch break Monday to Friday
• 1 to 2 Saturday shifts each month
