Facility: Primary Health Centre
Job Description: Public health nursing provides services that include postnatal care; childhood, school, and adult immunizations; client and staff education/orientation; influenza programming; communicable disease follow-up; and travel health services. This position will include a work assignment of a subset of these services.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced assessment skills
Advanced change management skills
Advanced communication skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Advanced organizational skills
Knowledge of population health
Required Qualifications Continued: One (1) year of Public Health experience required. In the absence of a qualified candidate, the employer would be willing to consider a candidate with equivalent experience relevant to the work which might include but not be limited to home care, labour and delivery, postpartum, pediatrics, community health or primary health. This is a regional position currently based out of North Battleford. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SH
