Backup Leadhand/Labourer

Latem industries is a manufacturing facility located on Struck Court in Cambridge Ontario. We clean and/or coat metal parts. This role is for a Carousel Line (1 & 2) where parts are dipped and coated in Plastisol. The day shift runs 5:30am-3pm monday to friday (9 hour work day plus lunch). NO STUDENTS.

Please note that the bus does not get you here for 5:30am. You must have your own transportation. Candidates must be availabe to work full time and FOR the scheduled shift from 5:30am-3pm monday to friday. You must be physically fit and able to bend, lift, pull totes and bins etc. repeatedly.

The Backup Lead Handworks on the line with the team doing general labour duties for most of the time. This incudes loading and offloading parts for most of the day. They also assist the Leadhand with all aspects of the job, and cover for the Leadhand when they are off (at a higher rate when covering).

Manufacturing and Leadership experience is a MUST. The ideal candidate doesn't mind doing general labour duties with the team for most of the time.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Assist the Leadhand (10% of the time), and do general labour duties alongside your team (90% of the time).

· Do all quality checks and ensure they are accurate

· Complete paperwork, data entry, etc, ensuring accuracy.

· Pack/load/offload parts, ensuring the tooling is full for efficiency

· Learn and know all aspects of the department/line and each job associated with it.

· Assist with training and development of your team and temps.

· Meet all requirements for, and follow all process instructions.

· Follow all safety procedures.

· Proper housekeeping and problem solving.

· Inputting data into the system database.

· Work in a safe manner and ensure all your team does as well.
