JOB DESCRIPTION

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Efficient operation of the baggage handling systems.
• Effective and timely communication.
• Adherence to ITC standards and policies.
• Dedicated, professional team player.
• Represent ITC as a leading service provider.

REGULAR DUTIES

• Assist with maintaining the flow of inbound and outbound baggage.
• Monitor the baggage handling system and clear baggage jams by re-orienting bags.
• Ensure prompt tub stock at departures check-in counters.
• Liaise with other airport stakeholders in a calm and professional manner.
• Reset emergency stops that are not readily apparent to airline operations employees.
• Reset tripped limit switches on the security/fire doors.
• Reset tripped over height photo-eye limit switches.
• Reset external software overloads.
• Call Mechanical Maintenance Contractor if unable to get the system up and running.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have valid driver's license and vehicle to travel to site. Access via transit is poor.
• Mechanically inclined with basic proficiency with computers.
• Ability to obtain security clearance – Restricted Area Identification Card.
• Physical ability to lift at least 35 kgs repeatedly.
• Ability to work in restrictive spaces and undertake strenuous activities such as climbing ladders, lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing.
• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Trades and/or construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible shifts for 24/7 coverage.
• Flexible hours up to full time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: From $25.43 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
