As an Equipment Operator, you will:
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, screeners, and graders based on qualifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
- Inspect and verify product condition to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures.
- Provide internal and external Customer Service excellence.
- Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.
- Provide feedback to employer on working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Previous relevant experience operating front end loaders and excavators
- Screener and grader experience is an asset
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- A positive team attitude
- A strong safety mindset
- Mechanically inclined
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Experience working with computers is an asset
- Must have reliable transportation
