PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment on different terrain for the purpose of maintenance, design and construction of both natural and physically built environments

Reports To: Superintendent and/or Foreman

Direct Reports: Not applicable to this position

Primary Functions:

• Operate assigned equipment in a safe and productive manner
• Inspect the vehicles to ensure safety
• Identify and coordinate with mechanic in the repair and maintenance of the construction vehicles
• Must work outdoors in different weather conditions and on varying terrain
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
• Complete tasks similar in capabilities as directed by supervisor
• Must complete daily equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction experience
• Experienced working around pipe (i.e. water, sewer, sanitary)
• Experience working in tight working conditions
• Experience subdivisions and or municipal earthworks
• Strong at reading stakes and cutting grade
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving
• Valid unrestricted Driver’s License (Drivers abstract will be required)
• Must be clean shaven
• Clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
