Heavy Equipment Operator

LMC is a family owned business that was established in 2017. We manage and build both residential and commercial projects and are looking for an experienced, motivated individual to join our growing team.

Our ideal candidate has experience operating Heavy Equipment (skidsteers, excavators) building retaining walls, septic systems, and the pyramids of Egypt.

LMC's Current Fleet Includes:

• Next gen CAT Mini Excavators (308, 306, 303.5)
• CAT 325 Excavator
• CAT Skidsteers (242's, 262)

Basic Requirements:

• 3 years of operating experience
• Physically fit - must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Motivated and willing to learn/grow with the company
• Valid BC Drivers license
• Clean criminal record

Job Requirements:

• Able to operate Heavy Equipment to load, transport, move, spread and grade materials at any given construction site, using all required attachments.
• Perform pre-operational inspection/ preventative & elementary maintenance on equipment according to owner and manufacturer specifications.
• Report defects or needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
• Record all details of inspections, maintenance and other work done on the Heavy Equipment while in the field in the machine's log book.
• Clean, grease & fuel all equipment, as scheduled and required.
• Ensure Heavy Equipment is safely and securely stored.
• Communicate effectively with project manager and crew
• Ensure awareness of all site conditions that could affect Heavy Equipment operation (i.e. overhead power lines, workers, mobile equipment, pedestrians, etc.).
• Lead by example and take constructive criticism well.
• Wear and own the required PPE for the site
• Perform housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned by the supervisor
