Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for a Benefits and Wellness Administrator to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager, Benefits and Wellness, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and administration in the areas of benefits, pension & savings, and Wellness.

What you’ll do:
  • Be the subject matter expert for a range of Benefits and Wellness programs / processes including our Group Benefits Plan (Team Member & Retiree), Pension and Savings Plan, and Wellness@Home Programs.
  • Be responsible for updating and analyzing data, creating reports associated with new enrolments, changes to member records, premium collections, and pension contributions, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and alignment with bi-weekly payroll timelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for all Group Benefits, Wellness, Pension and Savings related inquiries from Team Members and Retirees; provide exceptional service, proactively investigate issues, and resolve inquiries.
  • Support projects and assignments including our annual Group Benefits renewal, communications planning, Wellbeing initiatives, and facilitate benefits orientation sessions.
  • Ensure compliance and support with the interpretation of contracts, Home Hardware policies and programs, and applicable legislation.
  • Partner with internal departments and external vendors to ensure the efficient delivery of our programs and an exemplary Team Member experience.
  • Ensure process documents are maintained and updated regularly to reflect legislation, policy, and contractual changes. Continuously review and identify opportunities to improve our practices and processes.
What we’re looking for:
  • College diploma with 1- 2 years of related experience. A CEBS certification and/or diploma in Human Resources would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience and thorough understanding of Group Benefits, Retirement & Savings programs and processes, and applicable legislation.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a high focus on attention to accuracy and detail. Strong discretion and judgement to manage sensitive and confidential personal matters.
  • Passion to enhance Team Member wellbeing.
  • Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, intermediate Excel skills). Experience with an HRIS system would be considered an asset.
  • Highly self-motivated with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal and communications skills. Committed to enhancing the Team Member experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and react to changing situations; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work additional or varied hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
