Position:Bus Driver; Class 4 License

Status: Hourly; Part Time
Rate of Pay: $20 per hour
Hours of Work: Program Operational Hours: days, evenings & weekends; seasonal

BGC Greater Saint John is looking for an hourly Bus Driver to operate our mini buses during our various operational hours. This includes: after school program, evening program, school break & summer out trips and weekend programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Picking up our after-school children/youth at designated schools in Saint John following a route;
· Picking up and dropping off children/youth at scheduled stops in neighbourhoods in Saint John;
· Driving children/youth and staff to evening activities (i.e., Sea Dogs games);
· Driving children/youth and staff to various out trips during breaks and summer;
· Picking up and dropping off children/youth for various weekend sport programs (i.e., Top Corner Hockey, Rising Stars Basketball).
You will also be responsible for:
· Performing a daily vehicle check to ensure safety of your passengers;
· Documenting and reporting any concerns or vehicle maintenance issues;
· Communicate and interact with the children & youth, co-workers, teachers and families;
· Upholding BGC Greater Saint John policies, procedures.
To be considered for a Bus Driver position, you MUST have:
· Minimum High School Diploma;
· Class 4 driver’s license;
· Clear Divers Abstract;
· Standard Workplace First Aid & CPR ‘C’ certificate;
· Meet the minimum requirements for BGC vehicle insurance;
· Have a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check;
· Have a clear social development check (to be performed by BGC staff);
· Have a desire to positively impact the lives of children and youth who attend our program.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
