This full-time, year-round position will be based at our sea sites. The successful candidate will divide time between farm labour work and biology-specific tasks.
Farm Technician tasks include feeding, fish handling, operating equipment, net cleaning, net changes, and harvesting.
Biology team tasks include environmental monitoring, fish health exams, size sampling, data entry and analysis, report preparation, clearly communicating technical information, feedback to farm staff/training (experience with FishTalk considered an asset), inventory maintenance, tasks involved with smolts and brood stock.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to be licensed to operate small vessels is required.
Related undergraduate degree is preferred; technical diploma may be accepted.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic communicator interested in learning all aspects of farming Chinook salmon under organic certification and using their strong biology/marine education to help the team succeed.
