HourglassHR is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures. This role is crucial in supporting our clients and maintaining the integrity of their financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients using accounting software.
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.
Reconciliation and Reporting:
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy between bank statements and accounting records.
Generate financial reports summarizing the company's financial status, cash flows, and discrepancies.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for clients.
Process invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Tax Preparation Support:
Assist in preparing financial documents and records necessary for tax filings.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in compiling information for tax returns.
Client Interaction and Support:
Communicate with clients regarding financial queries and provide support as needed.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with tax preparation is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
