Work Model: 4 days in office, 1 day at home
Our client in the Engineering space is looking for an Assistant Bookkeeper to join their team. Working with the accounting team and responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- AR/AP, invoice preparation, issuance & vendor postings.
- Reconciling various disbursement billings and payments.
- Post & maintain journal entries.
- Issue monthly vendor statements and follow up AR payments.
- General office admin tasks and supportive duties.
- Accounting Diploma certification or equivalent.
- Strong data entry skills.
- 1-5 years of general accounting experience.
- Experience in Engineering/Architectural or professional services office (preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Onedrive. etc.), Quickbooks, or Deltek (preferred).
- Have attention to detail and be well organized.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Computer savvy: able to learn new software quickly.
