We are a small, family run business. Our bookkeeper of the past 28 years wants to retire. We are looking for someone who can work with this person, learn and takeover. The business will be transitioning to new software this year and the successful candidate will need to learn both the old and new industry specific software.
The new candidate will report directly to the Owner and President, but will work with all members of the company. Being a small company of only ten employees, we all pitch in to help and cross train on all jobs.
Priority will be given to applicants with prior experience, CPA, CMA, or similar. Priority will be given to candidates who live nearby and have a reliable method of getting to work. This is not a remote job. Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications.
Once established, there is potential for this job to be accomplished on a part time or full time basis, if desired.
``Duties```
- All aspects of accounting
- Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Perform and maintain financial tasks, such as invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, inventory reconciliation, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ability to learn and Utilize accounting software to perform various accounting tasks
- Communicate with bank officials, company accountants, company lawyer, customers and suppliers.

- ACCOUNTING
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Knowledge of accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, account reconciliation, budgeting, and payroll processes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving and dispute resolution skills
