Position: BOOKKEEPER

Reporting to the Controller you will

• Pay invoices in a timely manner
• Handle all Journal Entries
• Maintain GL and Trial Balance
• Prepare Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet statements (monthly, Quarterly, Annual)
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of all accounts including bank to ensure accuracy
• Manage invoice approvals
• Prepare all bill payments via cheque or wire transfers
• Prepare monthly financial statements - including various operational analyses
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
• GST/QST remittance (quarterly) - prepare deductions at source remittances
• Resolution of accounting/taxation issues
• Assist with year-end audit
• Other special projects as required

The ideal profile

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Bookkeeper -
• College Diploma/Certification in Accounting
• High proficiency in full accounting cycle
• Advanced Excel; strong knowledge in Quickbooks/Sage; SAP an asset (2 years preferred)
• Established experience in various accounting software
• Demonstrates an interest in optimizing work processes
• Fast-learner, detail-oriented, meticulous and tremendously organized
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong command of the English language; French an asset
