Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 Full-time, Monday to Friday

Canadian Coin & Currency is Canada’s largest collector coin retailer and is also an authorized distributor of collector coins for the Royal Canadian Mint. There is also an estate jewellery division, including sales on television through Today’s Shopping Choice. The company offers products online at cdncoin.com, and buys and sells at its Richmond Hill, Ontario showroom. The Opportunity

As Bookkeeper, you will report to the Managing Partners, taking on primary responsibility for all aspects of bookkeeping for the two related companies. This is a key role in a smaller company, and you will work closely with top level management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Detailed data-entry using Quickbooks Online (QBO)
- Day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and generating information for year-end financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GST/HST and payroll taxes
- Manage payroll
Experience and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks Online and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Completion of post-secondary Accounting Diploma/Degree
- Experience in previous bookkeeping role in Canada
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, Word and Outlook
- High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
- Positive personality with a can-do attitude
- Must have clean criminal background – police clearance required
